Michael Scott (singer, songwriter and musician). I have one of those names shared by many (there are a lot of Michael Scotts out there). I'm Michael (Mike) Scott and I live in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle is my hometown. I was born in Seattle and have lived in the area most of his life. There was a time, when I was a young boy, that our family moved to Hawaii (on the island of Oahu) and I remember how music there made me feel. After discovering a love for music at a young age, I tried out a ukulele as a first instrument. I took lessons and thought it was a great way to start playing. Later, I became mesmerized by guitar and wanted to start singing too. Growing up I became a fan of Rock and Roll and Country music and started taking guitar lessons in my teenage years. In high school I played in our stage band and jammed with friends there too. I played guitar and bass and sang during college with several bands that I formed with friends who also liked to sing and play. Playing in groups for live audiences evolved into opportunities to play with different bands around the Puget Sound area over the years. I have enjoyed playing in multiple bands, the camaraderie of my friends, equipment, different instruments and singing lead and back up vocals. More recently, I really enjoy playing acoustic guitar (with others or by myself) and singing acoustic versions of a mix of rock, country, pop and folk songs. Music is part of our culture; it brings people together and connects us all with experiences and memories of the past, the present and helps us envision and shape the future. Live music is a great form of expression and emotional connection with others and often goes well with life's celebrations, social gatherings and special events.

I enjoy singing and playing for people at wineries, breweries, pubs, bars, restaurants, weddings, private parties and events to provide live music that is fun and entertaining, yet not overwhelming.

Acoustic guitar and vocals are a great background for entertainment to compliment your event. If you like a mix of rock, country, pop and folk tunes that people relate to and enjoy along with food and drink, that is what I do!
